Pastoral Care

Our students benefit from an exceptionally committed team of staff who recognise the importance of creating a positive learning environment.

Pastoral Care at Holderness includes communicating and ensuring the highest standards of attendance and behaviour, as well as doing all we can to make sure that our students' social, emotional, physical and mental well-being needs are known and supported.

Year Teams

Each Year Group includes dedicated members of staff that students can receive support or guidance from, including a Form Tutor, Pastoral Manager and a Progress Leader as well as the Wider Leadership Team.

Form Tutors

Every student has a Form Tutor in their Year Group. Our Form Tutors are the people our students spend time with every morning during Tutor Period.

Pastoral Managers

Each Year Group has its own Pastoral Manager. As a non-teaching member of the support staff team, they are the main point of contact when students require further support. They are also the main point of contact for our parents and carers. Our Pastoral Managers will oversee attendance, behaviour and the care needs of our students.

Progress Leaders

Each Year Group has its own Progress Leader who is also a teacher. Our Progress Leaders support the Pastoral Manager and oversee the academic progress of our students.
