| Souths thrash Kelvin Hall 64-0
An outstanding team performance gave the opposition no opportunity to attack our try line. Any attempt was soon dealt with by the full back and wingers.
A strong push, lead by Brad Parker, drove Kelvin Hall back into their own half, enabling the backs to finish off their hard work.
Liam Wake, Alfie potter and Callum Lancaster kept finding the gaps in the opposition’s defence, and with Ben Winterburn converting tries from all over the pitch, the Souths were worthy of their 30 pts lead at half time.
The team kept up the pressure straight into the second half. Good tries were made by Joel Marquez-Laynez, Tyler Wiliams, Ashley Bastiman and Liam Wake, who collected 12 pts on the day.
The Souths gave no penalties away, and with a distance try from Callum Lancaster, the result was sealed.
Man of the Match was extremely difficult as all the players worked hard and impressed the large crowd. However, Callum Lancaster won the vote for his overall performance and authority in a key position. A fantastic result.
We now wish all 6 rugby teams great success for next season.
