A Level Results 2012

This year 69 students at South Holderness Technology College received a positive set of A Level results with a very high pass rate of 99.5% and a 100% pass rate in 26 subjects.  In addition, there was an improved points score per entry of 214 points.  The average points score per student at A Level overall was 773 which reflects well on the cohort and the college’s inclusive entry policy.

Headteacher Martin Cooper said:
“These are very pleasing results for the A Level students in 2012.  There has been a very high uptake of places at University and we wish all students every success in their future courses and careers”.

This year, 4 students gained at least three A* or A grades.  These were:

Ryan McGruddy
Business Studies, General Studies, Geography, History. Ryan will study Business and Economics at Newcastle University.

Megan Sutton
English Literature, General Studies, History, Psychology. Megan will study Journalism at Sheffield University.

Brogan Taylor
Biology, Chemistry, General Studies, Maths. Brogan will study Chemistry at Hull University.

Charlotte Tomlinson
English Literature, General Studies, History, Maths. Charlotte will study History at Leeds University.
